Executing a soft reset will not crystal clear the RAM in the unit. To execute a hard reset: Hold the product securely; click and hold the electrical power key and then click the soft reset key on the right side of your product. Executing a hard reset will clear the RAM in the unit and totally reset the GPS of the unit.

Running the factory default configurations If you still experience system mistakes even after soft and hard resetting the product, load the factory standard configurations to correct the error. These standard configurations have been chosen to optimize your product’s functionality. To load the factory default configurations:

  • “Configurations” on the Main Selection panel.
  • “Misc.” on the Configurations section.
  • “Back to Factory Default” on the Misc. display screen.
  • “Okay” on the dialog box.
  • Right after the factory reset, reconfigure your product’s user choices. Executing a factory default will remove the RAM, reset the GPS and remove all the user/application data on the unit’s Flash disc. The data on the SD card will not be removed.
