HTC ONE MAX Hard Reset and HTC ONE MAX Soft Reset Methods

Just before you purchase a new mobile phone or new tablet, you should try the following process to fix your system. Resetting the HTC One Max Hard Reset

Executing a factory reset using hardware keys. All files will be lost!
If you can’t turn HTC One Max on or access configurations, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC One Max.

Critical: The Fast boot option in Settings > Energy must not be selected.
Click and hold the VOLUME DOWN key, and then click and hold the POWER key.
Wait for the display screen with the three Android graphics to show up, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN keys.
Click VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then click the POWER key.

Go to Configuration settings, and then tap Back-up & totally reset.
Tap Reset phone.
If you also want to remove media and other data on HTC One max, select Remove all data.
To remove media and other files on your storage card, tap Remove SD card.
Tap OK.

HTC One Max Soft Reset

If the screen is off, press the POWER key to turn it back on. If you’ve set up a lock display screen, you need to unlock it.
Click and hold the POWER key, and then tap Restart. When asked to validate, tap Restart.

If HTC One Max does not respond to touch or can’t click the keys, you can still restart it.
Press and hold the POWER and VOLUME UP keys for at least 10 seconds. HTC One Max then reboots.
